Aquarius 2025 Horoscope

Jan 19 —

  • Sun ♑︎ Enters Aquarius ♒︎ 00’00, 20:00

Jan 21 —

  • Sun ♒︎ Conjunct Pluto ♒︎ 01’42, 12:28

Your willpower and sense of self is merged with its deep rooted and unseen motivating parts; the fear-driven and traumatic forces in our psyche that are there to keep us safe, but often do more to keep us stuck than help us break from behavioural patterns. There may be a tendency under this transit to respond from this deep rooted place, with immense destructive power, either in fighting or fleeing a situation.

As this is happening in Aquarius, this may be slightly more communally concerned, the self in dynamic with others, a seemingly logical response to some existential and abstract threat to the group. As the Sun represents leadership, it’s also noteworthy to mention how this transit overlaps with the US’s presidential inauguration.

Jan 23 —

  • Mars ♋︎ Sextile Uranus ♉︎ 15:07, 23’17

Fun transit, typically playful and high energy, though with Mars retrograde in Cancer this energetic side may be muted a bit. Either way, this is an invitation to change things up and try something new — a new method, a new direction on your way to work, a new position in the bedroom (this is also a bit of a kinky transit). Keep your eyes open to what you find, and let it be exciting!

  • Mercury ♑︎ Opposite Mars ♋︎ 23’11, 20:48

This can typically be quite an argumentative transit, however with Mars in retrograde it may be felt as less feisty and more quietly frustrating. Mercury is Capricorn is a planner; it is goal-driven, ambitious, and direct. Mars represents some kind of emotional and heartfelt contest to doing what the mind imagines. Other people may be going slower, feeling heavier, not as motivated, as you need them to be to get on board with your big ideas…

Alternatively you may be acting out Mars in this dynamic, feeling that the information you’re being expected to process is a confrontation to your ego and is just an unnecessarily particular and hurtful annoyance.

  • Mercury ♑︎ Trine Uranus ♉︎ 23’16, 22:07

Not forgetting Uranus’ involvement in this shape, this accelerates the mind and helps open one’s perspective to alternatives and unusual ideas — mirroring the invitation to ‘newness’ of the Mars Sextile Uranus earlier in the day.

Jan 25 —

  • Venus ♓︎ Trine Mars ♋︎ 22’25, 23:53

Another benefic relational transit, representing a flow between the two planets and the deep-feeling water signs they inhabit. This transit is graceful, compassionate, and emotionally understanding, allowing for deep interpersonal exchanges between you and your loved ones. If you have anything you need to apologise for or make up to someone, this is the perfect energy for it.

This is also great energy for creating/appreciating art, flirting, and exploring sexual chemistry, albeit with a slightly emo or maybe soppy and lovey-dovey edge, as Cancer and Pisces are so inclined. Although playing with some emotional themes, there is nothing harmful about this transit.

Jan 26 —

  • Mercury ♑︎ Sextile Neptune ♓︎ 27’49, 18:32

This transit turns your mind to spiritual themes, collective energies, and the deeper meanings of words. It enhances how you are able to communicate with the divine, and mentally tap in to the collective feeling. Maybe able to gain a more analytic perspective on some recent emotional turbulence, and locate ourselves within the soup.

  • Venus ♓︎ Sextile Uranus ♉︎ 23’16, 23:11

Another exciting transit that invites you to try new things in how you are relating to your close friends and partners, or form new connections. This energy could be spark romantic feelings, spontaneous intimacy, or maybe you come to see a loved one with better understanding of their individuality and freedom than before (…or vice versa). A socially energetic, highly creative, and perhaps slightly anxious transit that can be worked with to have some really alternative fun.

Jan 28 —

  • Mercury ♑︎ Enters Aquarius ♒︎ 00’00, 02:53

Jan 29 —

  • Mercury ♒︎ Conjunct Pluto ♒︎ 01’58, 7:52

Under this transit, the mind descends into the underworld, and you may find yourself able to understand and communicate what motivates your unconcious drives with renewed clarity. Alternatively, you may find yourself speaking out of these places of fear and activation, and that your words have a destructive and transformative power. A primal scream.

As this transit takes place in Aquarius, alongside the New Moon, I am curious how this plays out in more systemic ways than solely on a personal level, particularly in the digital world and across communications on social media.

  • New Moon Aquarius ♒︎ 09’50, 12:35

This New Moon in electrifying Aquarius asks you to step outside of yourself and consider your wants and needs from a distance. What does your future look like given your current behaviour and life trajectory? What needs to change to align with how you’d rather it be? Aquarius has no time for hypocracy or sentimentality in its adtions, it wants to see its utopian ideas lived out in the present moment. And is willing to disregard social reputation in pursuit of the freedom to begin to live in accordance with one’s own vision.

When your wants and your needs are aligned in Aquarius, the self undergoes a revelation; that it need not perform values it doesn’t uphold, or meet the expectations of anyone who doesn’t accept its uniqueness as part of the functional whole. This New Moon will strike your self-concept like a lightning bolt, through a combination of total alienation and liberation from the systems and patterns of life.

Jan 30 —

  • Sun ♒︎ Trine Jupiter ♊︎ 11’18, 12:58

Emboldened by the recent revelations of the Aquarian mental reset, Sun trine Jupiter sets us on this course in bounding optimistic leaps. This transit is experienced as a magnanimous, uplifting energy, which takes a confident stride toward the horizon. It is a wonderful social transit, great for parties or for pushing yourself to do something big — as you will find you simply have more vitality and influential solar energy than you usually do. If you’re in a position to manage or host a large group on this day, this energy will support you well.

Feb 1 —

  • Venus ♓︎ Conjunct Neptune ♓︎ 27’53, 16:33

The planet of harmonising and relating is merged with the infinite rippling waters of Neptune. This is a time where we are incredibly permeable to beauty, be it through art, music, poetry, film, or lovers and loved ones. This transit, especially in Pisces, is as compassionate and boundary softening as they come, allowing you to find grace and gentle flow with others.

It also will be a powerful time for intuiting the divine through your own art practice. Do something creative or curational, even if it’s just making a playlist or changing up your room, and let the Neptunian dream carry you away.

This transit will involve some fantasies which are in no way grounded, completely guided (nay, swept away) by your emotional undercurrents and yearning, which may feel pleasant but be a little disorienting. As long as you hold this time lightly, and can discern that these illusory visions are fleeting and not to be read into or of any real substance on their own, they are to be enjoyed. The dream is as you dream it. For it is only thus.

Feb 3 —

  • Mercury ♒︎ Trine Jupiter ♊︎ 11’17, 21:48

The mind races under this transit. Perhaps it is expanding on its recent spiritual musings as they are integrated into a new personal philosophy, or you find yourself sharing your thoughts with friends. Jupiter accelerates whatever Mercury is processing, but with a more optimistic than anxiety-inducing energy.

Because of this boost in confidence to our ideas, there is a risk of being overly sure of our own thinking and assuming our rhetoric is bulletproof and our plans will be success. But the energy is mostly generous and helpful, just be sure not to lose humility or to assert your framework on people who do not want it.

Feb 4 —

Venus ♓︎ Enters Aries ♈︎ 00’00, 07:57

Feb 7 —

Venus ♈︎ Sextile Pluto ♒︎ 12:14 02’15, 11:39

Venus has potential under this Sextile with Pluto to channel the eruptive and destructive nature of Pluto into the groundwork for something harmonious. This transit is ideal for working through difficult repressed emotions with art, or using a creative medium to bring these undercurrents to the surface to acknowledge.

Venus in Aries likes to play with fire and be more direct than is characteristic of the planet, and with Aries’ ruler Mars still Rx in Cancer, the responsibility of managing anger’s energy falls heavily to Venus. If not worked through in art, there is likely to be an opportunity to explore unconcious themes in relationship. With a hot and fast edge.

Feb 9 —

  • Mercury ♒︎ Conjunct Sun ♒︎ 20’59, 12:07

As Mercury catches back up to the Sun, notice how strongly you identify with your own ideas and how you're voicing them. This transit can give us clarity on our conception of self and our life philosophy, however it can also have us competing to be the most authoritative voice in the room. This transit is a double-edged sword, as it affords you a renewed understanding of the truth of your lived experiences, but can be resistant to other’s perspectives (especially when coloured by the one-track mindedness of Aquarius).

  • Mars ♋︎ Trine Saturn ♓︎ 18’53, 12:51

This transit is at once stabilising and driving. Great for locking in and getting hard work done, or (as Mars is still retrograde) finding time to rest and recuperate — which is sometimes its own struggle and form of hard work. In either instance, this transit helps us find a groove and a rhythm to our workflow and helps manage or focus our energetic output. You will benefit from any systems and ordered structures you have that are in place to support you, or perhaps find time to develop them. Particularly around emotional themes, as both planets move through watery signs.

Feb 10 —

  • Mercury ♒︎ Square Uranus ♉︎ 23’18, 19:27

Your quest for finding some sense of personal truth is, again, rocked by this transit. Accident prone Uranus presents obstacles that could manifest entirely on a mental plane, or confront you with more tangible complications. Your head may be abuzz with an influx of information and data, or simply overwhelmed by the static.

While this transit presents anxiety inducing situations for our mind, which may be difficult to work through, it is not inherently negative. These challenges can be exciting and offer liberating insights if you’re able to disassociate your ego from your dearly held ideas.

Feb 11 —

  • Sun ♒︎ Square Uranus ♉︎ 23’19, 19:29

Similarly, the following day this energy will hang around and continue to challenge our self conception. Uranus can have us on edge and anxious, as it always brings the unexpected, ruling extrasensory information and electricity. However, despite how chaotic Uranus makes a situation, it will always cause us to leap in a new and unexplored direction. It is queer (in all the ways), it is kinky, it is eccentric, and it is countercultural. Sun square Uranus anticipates a future where these aspects of yourself are more comfortably integrated into your life, but knows this alteration may require some changes to how you are seen.

Feb 12 —

  • Full Moon in Leo ♌︎ 24’05, 13:53

This Full Moon really accentuates the themes of the whole month. While the New Moon reminds you of the need to consider your desired future from the present moment, and align with it regardless of how others may perceive it… The Full Moon — in highly visible Leo — asks how is this perceived? What does that mean for you?

This is the axis of Aquarius and Leo, where we strive to differentiate ourselves from the group. The Sun in Aquarius continues to ask you to consider how your self-image is alienated by the categories and systems you find ourselves within, and how to free yourself from them.

When you choose to carve out your own path, even if you feel you truly do not care for the opinions of others, it is inevitable that you become visible to the crowd and attract attention. It is the inherent risk of individuating, that embodying your truth sets you up as a beacon of light.

The Moon (our unconscious bodily and emotional needs) while in Leo, must acknowledge the ways that choosing the Self in this way makes you a torchbearer to others. Even though Aquarius wants nothing to do with the limelight, it must come to realise that the decision to embrace the strange, the queer, the unusual, the weird, the odd, the offbeat, the alternative, the eccentric, the unique parts of the Self… is not done for your sake, but for the sake of everyone else around you.

For the world to see you for who you really are, means you carry yourself with a greater honesty in your relationships. This energy is revolutionary, your torch lights up those hidden parts of others and paves the way for things to be different.
